The Social Network

No, I’m not talking about the movie of the story of the founders of the social-networking website Facebook, because even I myself haven’t watched it yet. I’m actually referring to the social networks that I’m in. I’m-a-self-confessed-social-network-animal. I can recall that during my elementary and early high school years I already have my own account in Friendster, Hi5, Myspace and Multiply. But these accounts are already deactivated. Now, I have Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Blogspot. I’m an active user of these four. I can stay for a day in one room as long as I have an internet connection and I’m logged-in in my accounts. I don’t know what’s with these social networks that it’s hard to leave the page once you started logging in. I always stay up late at night stalking people on Facebook, tweeting nonsense thoughts in twittter and reblogging post at Tumblr. Even if I have lots of school works to do, I always find time opening my accounts. There are even times that I prioritize these social networking sites more compared to my studies. I procrastinate a lot because of these. I realized that this is such a bad habit that should be controlled or be stopped if possible. There are so many things that I’m not able to do because I always stay in front of my laptop. So I decided to set my priorities. Studies should be the first in line, especially now that I’m in my third year and all the pressure are up. I made a note in my study area that says “Less Facebook, More Study!” It is there to remind me that I have to have a limit with these sites and give more time on my studies. I hope I will be successful with my goal and be able to do what I really intend to do.

December wish

Hello DECEMBER!;)) It’s my favorite month of the year. Christmas is just around the corner. It’s exactly 21 days before the most awaited day. I hear Christmas carols everywhere and see beautiful Christmas lights at night. I’m the happiest when I see Christmas lights, it’s like I go back to a little child enjoying the brightness of the night.

Since its almost Christmas I have wish lists prepared in mind J

All I want is Christmas is… YOU. No erase that. I honestly want and need a new

Cellphone. For the record my cellphone I’m using right now was the same phone when I was still in third year high school. Four years already so I really think I need a new one now. I don’t need the latest model of phone, I’m not techie anyway. Nokia c3 would be enough. I just love its hot-pink color that’s why.

Shoes! For the love of shoes. Flat shoes in particular. I love those cute, girly flats. It’s stylish plus very comfy to wear.

Wedge! Though I love to wear flats I think I also need a new pair of wedge. I’m very short that’s why I need the power of the wedge to make me look taller by an inch. It’s the least that I can do to improve my height :D
Quilted chain bags. I actually own one already and I love it, even my friends compliments my bag. I just want to have another one, this time color blue and if possible bigger than the one I have.

Wallet. Believe it or not I don’t have a decent wallet. I only have a transparent one given to me by a friend, and I think I need to replace it already. A new wallet would be very useful and would be much appreciated.

Clothes. I love fashion. I want the latest trend. Cute outfits are just oh-so-adorable. A boyfriend shirt, cardigan, pair of shorts or a tank top would do J

Books. I love reading books. If only I have enough time I would be reading and reading. I discover new things and expand my learning with the books I read. A good story from a good author would be a perfect read.

Pink lipstick. I’m loving the pink shade of lipstick. I already have one, but I want a lighter shade of pink. Pink is love.

Beach. I love the beach though I’m not a swimmer. Were all stressed-out nowadays so I badly need a sweet escape. I just wanna be on the beach, to relax and to think things over. Plus the sunset is just so romantic.

Paris. Who wouldn’t want to go to Paris? It’s such romantic and beautiful place. I wish that someday I’ll be able to go there. *wishful thinking*

P.S. LIBRE LANG MANGARAP, KAYA PAGBIGYAN NALANG :)))))))

Nostalgia

Reminiscing the good old days really makes me teary-eyed. I can’t hold back tears while going over the pictures and memories from yesteryears. I’m feeling nostalgic about gone days. Sorry if I’m being melodramatic but I just miss everyone :(

I'm all stressed out

If my memory serves me right it’s just the 15th day when our third year second semester began. In that short span of time I can already feel the pressure. I don’t want to be pessimistic but every once in a while I always think of giving up. I feel like my body can’t handle all the pressure.  So much to do, so little time is exactly the best phrase to describe this semester.
We have our Thesis. And we all know that it is not a joke. We really have to pour all our time and effort in this subject. We also have SAD Lab. SAD is an acronym for System Analysis and Design but it can also mean depressing. The name itself would tell a lot, no need of expounding. We even have a paper due tomorrow and guess what, we haven’t started anything yet. I know I should be working on our papers now rather than blogging and pouring my heart out in this page but I just want to let this out. I also don’t know where to start in our paper because I have no idea about the company. We weren’t able to interview the big boss of the company that we are conducting the study. That is a major problem, I know. Plus, there are just some professors who are adding to the strain that we are already in. I just need some considerations from them. These problems are already getting in to my nerves.
Anyways, I can’t do anything. I can’t just be complaining always without doing anything. All I have to do right now is to hold on. I know this shall pass and I can do this. Think positive.

All the single ladies, put your hands up.

Single? No Boyfriend Since Birth? Forever Alone? A piece of advice - - Fret, no more!

Read and be inspired :)

"Girls are like apple on tress. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The boys don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they get the rotten apples from the grounds that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they’re amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree."

Cheer up and savor every moment. In the right time we will find a brave man who is willing to climb all the way to the top of the tree and get our happy ending!

100 days still

During the last week of August I was already looking forward for the month of September because it will be the start of BER-months. We are known to celebrate the longest Christmas, and as early as September we can already hear Christmas greetings and Christmas songs.

I just love Christmas season. It’s the season of love and everyone is just in a light mood and happy. I love hearing Christmas songs and of course I love opening Christmas gifts. It’s also the time of family-togetherness. I’m excited to go home and as early as now I already have my plane ticket. I’m also excited to attend our Christmas party slash class reunion.

Now, it’s officially 100 days to go before Christmas. The countdown starts now :D But I also realized it is 100 days still and I just can’t wait that long. Fast forward to Christmas please J

Wfriends

“A quarrel between friends, when made up, adds a new tie to friendship.”

I’ve experienced different issues with regards to my friends. It’s not always good times and happy moments with them; we also have our share of dramas. We fight and have misunderstanding but it is just normal, what is important is we try to talk things over and try to fix whatever the problem is.

If ever I said something bad about my friends maybe it’s because of my anger and a sudden burst of emotions. I admit that whenever I’m angry hurtful things can come out of my mouth. But give me some time to calm down and forget about what had happened. Then everything will be okay. Talking behind your friends back is awful and sorry I’m guilty. But I’ve learned my lesson well. I came to realize that talking behind your friends back is not a good practice. It’s betrayal. A better thing to do is to confront your friend. Talk. Say things calmly. Be honest. Be nice. Do your part as a friend.

This too shall pass. Three years of friendship is a lot. In time we will be back to the old-happy-loud-friends. :)

Busy yet Happy Weekend

After a week of sleepless nights due to Prelim Exam I thought that on weekend I can finally get an eight hour sleep but unfortunately that was not the case.

Our last day of examination was on a Friday, and then we decided to unwind after. With my Wii friends Lyn, Kambal, Kim and Shine we went for a bottle of Tanduay Ice at Balay. It was our first time there and we were their first customer because of course we went there at 2pm. Yes, that early.
We're all stressed out coz of Prelims
The next day, Saturday morning we had a seminar to attend to at TIP Cubao.  It didn’t start on time. As usual Filipino time. We didn’t even wait for the seminar proper to start because there were too many programs. We got bored and it was really really hot there and too crowded. We just headed to Gateway because we were all hungry.

At timezone after lunch. It's Dex vs. Rap :))

Comes Sunday, another seminar to attend to this time at West Capitol Pasig. After the first seminar we went to Megamall to eat lunch. After eating the boys went to Timezone and we the girls went to Forever21. That place was heaven. We wanted to stay longer but we can’t because we still have another seminar to attend, so we went back to West Capitol. Reah, Shine and I decided to go back again to Megamall after the seminar. I bought something from Forever21. It was a boyfriend shirt slash plaid shirt. I was really happy with what I bought for myself.

Before the seminar starts
Lunch time at Kenny Rogers Megamall
It was really a busy week end but despite being tired and wasted I had fun because I was with my friends. It was always a day full of loud laughter.
